I think the only UK outlet for Zaino at the moment is http://www.advancedcarproducts.com

Jon has arranged a 5% discount as far as i know if you mention E30Zone when ordering

hi all
thanks for all the comments

cheapest i can get porter cable for is 111 pounds delivered to your door

this includes vat and import duty

they are not available in uk

they are 110v you must run a transformer

1 place imports them and he wants 210 quid but it includes transformer

site geeman put up is good.
but it is based in usa

i spoke to them and they say only place they could save money on group buy is on shipping but this becomes a waste as i would have to then ship to all of u which loses the saving

they are the bomb but some will say expensive tho i have had mine nearly 5 years now and its the best thing i ever bought

you will also need a pad kit which includes backing plate which may come in at about 35 quid plus post again from states

its not a cheap game but.......................

results speak for themselves

if you want me to put prices and suppliers together then i will if demand is there as it will take time and i dont wanna waste it

i can also speak to advanced and see if i can put a smaller kinda starter kit together and see if we can save some more on the zaino

let me know your thorts

i will be doing more microfibre soon

i need to know demand

John, First day back at work, and everyone was gobsmacked!

A customer thought it was brand new untill they saw the number plates.

So lots of great comments from all at my place of work too.

Paul.

Sheps, your car looks amazing! a job well done Jon!
A zaino starter kit would be a very good idea i think, and some more information on the porter cables, for example do they make the job quicker or just give a better finish?

Thanks James, your car looks like its got a nice shine too.

The porter cables make the job easier, and the results are better. But, you must make sure you have prepared the paintwork right before applying the zaino. The better the prep, the better the rsults.

John is a top man, and will help you with any advice.

I bought the car in Eastbourne UK. But the reg was bought by the previous owner as he wanted an ageless reg. I want the car back to original, and I will be taking the plate off.

Cheers.

Hi John

I am in a partnership in a cleaning/valeting company that has been running since April last year and I just want to say that the job on the M3 looks amazing - i'm totally impressed with the finish and as such I would like to try the full kit you mentioned in the thread, so if there is demand I would be very interested.

We use Quadralene polish which is good for the nature of work we do (auction cleans, quick turnaround cars) but I'm also interested in moving into the higher end detailing market as I take pride in my work and don't like rushing the job. Also we use these bloody great mops which I hate but sometimes the customer insists, and its good enough for a cheap paint refurb i.e. making pink cars red again!

Your kit and zaino product that you use looks ideal and thats why I'd like to try it!!!

Thanks for showing me the possibilites!

Thats really amazing.

Im quite stunnned at how "wet" that looks.

Ive been using autoglym all my life but it looks like Zaino is the way forward. My m5 deserves this kind of treatment to its already very good paint work.

Where are you based Jon?

John
That is a job well done!! :P

I would be interested in the kit you mentioned earlier. Could you let me know the details and prices please?

Also if you could send me a step by step idiots guide to cleaning that would be great.

I feel thick as I use sponges and chaomis (spelling?) leathers to do the car and thought that was fine.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Hi Guys,

I'm new here and I don't have a BMW  .........but I would like one eh 8) ........I was pointed in this direction by a forum menber (not sure of his ID)

My only problem would be my local dealer who instills swirls even scratches into his cars.............I think Steveie Wonder must polish their cars..............I doubt they have heard of detailing :?

Anyway here is a link where you can get a lot of info about buying a PC (Porter Cable) most buy from either Autopia or Auto Detailing Solutions.

Remember you don't just need the PC, tranny, extension and plug you also need a selection of pads and polishes, sealers and wax's..........oh and clay ofcourse

http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/showthr ... 136&page=5

There are also discount codes available.

Here is another link to ADS showing the sort of thing that is available: -

http://www.autodetailingsolutions.com/P ... ecials.htm

I went for package 2 but looking back I should have gone for either 3 or 4 or possible even put together my own kit which would include 4" spot pads, in the absense of a rotary they are better for defect removal and spit polishing etc.

And that's a superb job that's been done there John I bet Paul couldn't believe it eh  .........and I'm sure it looks even BETTER when seen in the flesh eh 8)

Bryan

PS I have just noticed that's some first post 8O

Not touched the car since, except a drive into Bristol, and a fellow member having a drive of it too, appart from the dust thats settled, and a few finger smeering (people can't resist touching it :cheese: ) the Evo3 still looks as good as when John left it.

Thanks John, again!
