IIRC tea tree oil is loads cheaper, and does an amazing job for black plastic trims. Lasts ages aswell. Worth a try.

but how does this last ?abhardwaj1990 wrote:Sorry wasn't tea tree oil, boiled linseed oil. Very cheap!
i heard people do heat gun on them- found that to be rubbish didnt last long but looks goof for a few hours, does this linseed look good for a day after youve put it on, or does it last ?
the heat gun trick worked wonders on the mrs' golf, lasted weeks and weeks. the car is parked outside all the time so most black goos / sprays watermark and look crap within a day or two.
if i can be bothered i use a black trim wax, which gives a lovely finish but takes a lot of effort. most of the time i just give it a quick wipe with the same gel i use for the tyres, turtlewax platinum tyre shine.

i use penut butter (smooth not nutty) use a synthetic cloth to apply the oil n then rub off, not smeared everywere. the oils from the penut restor the plastic, usually last about a month on mine.
Sounds stupid but it works for me.
