Hi all i am wanting to change the colour of the carprt in my e30 convertible its beige the now but i am wanting to change it to black whats the best dye to use and how much will i need

Do a search on "carpet" and "dye". There are several old threads comprehensiviley covering this including what you need, pics and techniques.
I did exactly what you proposed to my Chromie and it came up really well.
The main issue is what type of carpet - won't work with newer polypropylene carpets, only older nylon "cut pile" type.
If you can't find the threads, let me know and I can dig them out
