Hey guys,
After buying my white 318is i have realised that someone has glued my tech 2 spoiler down :(. I want to remove it and fit a heck spoiler but im worried that my paint is ruined underneath. What are the chances that it is a state and im gonna need a new bootlid? Anyone have any tips on how to remove it?

Try heat or a heat gun on the underside of the boot where the spoiler is, if worst comes to worst, just tear it of without changing the shape of the boot lid while your doing it an take the outta boot lid back to the base coat or metal an respray it.

Keep the thread updated with your progress for more help mate.

Simple use a length of wire to cut thru the glue [mastic].
one length of wire with 2 handles. not hard to figure out. :)

Chances are you paint is fecked, I also want to lose my tech 2 spoiler on my 318IS and although it’s not glued on I still don’t think it’s gonna be pretty under their plus the fact that there is going to be screw holes as well.

I want to go completely spoilerless so I’m on the lookout for another spoilerless boot lid in Alpine White II, I reckon it would be easier for you to do the same

Well i am gonna be putting a smaller heck spoiler on once ive removed the tech 2, so hopefully it should cover a similar area of the bootlid, hopefully.
