181 diamond black paint

Im not sure if its just me but does diamond black paintowrk off E30's shine purpley in the sun as since i had a respray mine doesnt shine purple just a grey colour and i reckon he used some cheap universal metallic black paint?
If so im going back tomorrow or next time im near to see what hes saying

Man if the dude who is painting my wings cocks mine up i would be like OI NO hula hoops are round not square and i would make him paint it again otherwise he wouldnt be getting my cash....so yeh go have a word with the painter

Compare it to under the bonnet in the boot etc, somewhere where it hasn't been repainted.

Diamond black does have a fair amount of pink in it...

There are a different shades of 181 Diamond Black iirc. On the sticker under the bonnet on the passenger side strut, there should be the full paint code for your car including its shade on this sticker..... its possible your painter was not awerae of this this & just got in 181 black & thus the wrong shade...

I would say investigate....

Ok looked Decent in the shop but then when it got outside on the truck i was thinking its wrong but was in a rush and have just thought about it.
