How much work is it to get good results?
Can you use it over coachlines? (my E30 is Alpine White with Black coaches).

And do I need to wax it afterwards??
personally i would nt use this, i would buy Autoglym Super Resin Polish, and work this into the paint.
After apply autoglym Extra Gloss protection in a very thin layer and leave to cure for 1 hour then buff off, if you want you could also apply a further coat of Extra Gloss protection 1 day later.

What was your paint like beforehand? Mine isn't exactly bad but I've used Meguiars 3 Step (with clay first) and it still has some light swirls, and probably some oxidation - it didn't look as white as Stonesie's touring at the milk bar a few weeks back. Ok, he'd just spent the afternoon polishing his and mine hadn't been done for a couple of months but mine really did look cream rather than brilliant white!

The paint work was ok before starting but i hadnt been washed for about 2 years, so i washed it, then just worked in the Super resin polish really well and it does give a fantastic shine, then topped with Extra Gloss Protection.
There are still loads of swirls in it, but white hides them very well.
Never used the meguiars 3 stage process so cant comment on it.
The other key with white is to make sure the black trim and tyres are really black as this helps the white stand out
But early next year i will be machine polishing the beast so watch out for the pics

mattsbmw - that's good advice. the ag srp is very good. however it contains some fillers. as for an lsp on white treat yourself to a werkstatt acrylic kit. results are superb on lighter colours.
morat - yes the megs 3 step is ok but the polish is more of a cleaner. doesn't really have a enough bite to correct the paint. however i did use it for a while and was happy with the results. an all round better polish to be used by hand is menzerna intensive polish. can also be used by machine. i've used this with da machines and rotarys.

neamam, thanks for the tip. I think I'll keep my eye out for that menzerna. Or maybe some Zaino ZIO seeing as its winter and my car is covered in mud most of the time
