sealant or wax after glaze?

I found that farecla black top hand glaze works amazing on my car, but I was wondering is it necessary to apply wax after this glaze? I heard it's not, but not sure is it true, If I need wax which one to choose: synthetic nanowax or carnauba?

right a true polish is abrasive so don't use that.
If you have a polish which isn't a polish at all but a protectant its ok to use that (even though its not really a polish, that boils my blood and grinds my gears!).
sealer is ok and so is wax. Wax though is just a sacraficial layer and will slowly deplete over a short time, and needs repolacing after every wash ideally.
D6DPH is better at this stuff TBH.

well thanks guys, I just polished my car with some mild abrassive, I had to, damn black color, shows loads of light swirls, job is done properly, shine is awesome because I used Farecla black top glaze, my local painter said that after black top is no need for waxing, but I love to experiment so I added some sealant over the glaze, not too bad but after first rain effect is not so good like after apply, so you think that glaze itself is pretty fine?

Thats not a true polish which is my point.
Definition of in context:
a chemical which levels the surface of a car’s paint either through mechanical (abrasives) or chemical means.
That will not protect your paint. Zaino Z5 is not a true polish, but zaino market as one, shows how much they know.

What polishes would you say were true polishes?
I can recall speaking to #C76 a long time ago when i was asking the same question and i was tld that z5 and zfx would seal my paint up fine and offer protection.
Without getting technical calling it an abrasive is harsh as you can use it after removing swirl marks and get a perfect finish.

After a glaze i would be inclinded to use a nice wax.
Reason being is that with glazes being rather oily in nature they will create bonding issues for the sealer.
A great wax to protect your finish is Collinite 915.
I use that on my atlantis blau convertible and it looks awesome and lasts for around 6 months!

Z5 with zfx seals your paint up. yes it will fill it but it seals up your paint. a wash of fairy liquid followed by clay is what i would refer to as cleaning paint.
When i detail i wash in FL then wash in zaino then clay then wash in zaino again.
Then i add 4 maybe 5 coats of zfx and finosh off with z8.
I have had no problems and im sure my paint is sealed.

It's all in the preparation Gents. A good polish applied and worked correctly will remove any swirl marks and will leave the paintwork gleaming. A good wax will seal the finish in.
Autoglym SRP is a good starting point but is designed to 'fill in' any swirls although it does contain a mild abbrasive which can remove some minor marks.
Menzerna or 3M Finesse are higher end polishes and are designed to fully remove any swirls. Both polishes are designed to be worked with either a D/A machine or a rotary.

Car prepping in this order
Wash with Fairy liquid to remove any previous wax/polish
Clay bar and lube- to remove bonded deposits from the paintwork and glass
Polish - to remove swirl marks/scratches
Wax - to seal the finish in

March is right, A polish is abrasive and should never be used over a wax or sealant as it will just remove any product that is on there.
A glaze should really only ever be used under wax as it is too greasy for a sealant to bond to.
Zaino is a law unto itself, It is really not advisable to use other brands with the Z products as they are one of the most fussy brands on the market.
The rule of thumb is that a sealant will give you a crisper finish, more clinical reflections and greater durability.
Waxes generally give a deep wet gloss and a warmer glow to the paint. They can however mute the flake pop so sometimes a sealant can be better, All down to personal preferences.
I use waxes as I love the depth of shine I get from them and durability isn't high on my list of priorities.

I must just pick you up on this mate, A "proper" wax will last months without topping up. As long as you stick to the correct dilution ratios when washing and use a decent quality shampoo, The wax layer should not be affected.

My car is diamond black, I wash it every week ver very gently but swirls are still there, I can remove them using rotary and finish pads but I am afraid to do this more than once a year, so rather let them stay and cover them up with black top. Before black top I clean the paint with liquid pre wax cleaner which contains some Co2, and kills dirt.
After that I apply black top and so far was getting sealant over it, based on nanotechnology. many people says that using carnauba wax on metalic black doesn't look so good, paint start to look like dull. Never tried to be honest, just heard about this. Also considering to just glaze the paint once a month
