How do you get 6x9's in a rear shelf?

Hello all, how the hell do you got 6x9's in the rear shelf with the torsion bars in the way? ........or do you have to use rings etc that stand a foot high?

hi Border hows it going mate?
2 options ive used before are the spacers but like you say these raise up the speakers the second is to cut out the shelf where the original speakers go with a grinder does take a while if you want it neat but does sound good when done did my last 320i and sounded well bassey as speakers bolted direct to the metal of shelf also with some carefull measuring you dnt have to mess with the boot lift rods etc good luck mate Daz leeds

Yard sales at the local Travis perkins,not great money but there's alot of training available and good scope for promotion,the manager that interviewed me is only 25,2 years younger than me!

When it doest look like a skip! Might be worth you hiring a van one day if you need a load of stuff,as i get it for cost + 5%
,leeds is 4 hrs max really from me?
I need to sort out the rear arches really as my mates dad(who gave me the car) tried to pretty them up to sell it and they look pretty shite,all the lacquers peeling as well as a filled bit thats rotting slowly still.....i think me be busy with the MIG before the summer proper

mine still needs loads doing its handling worse than a 2cv rite now
need virtually all the bushes doing front and back was gonna get em this week but just got 170quid fine from dvla so fooked have to pay that bought a merc a while ago and it had bent tax didnt know got pulled got 60fine but now they want another 170 or it goes to court and then i gotta pay costs fookin gutted mate
just glad i got me bm for bargain price with the plate on too i put the wheels and have changed interior 3 times so far cnt make me mind up and only had it cpl mnths at moment got grey cloth rear seats and cream leather fronts got halfway thru changing em and got bored lol must get the fronts in asap cos looks stoooopid got skirts standing in hallway where theyve been for last month lolmisses going divvy house looks like a bmw breaker haha and the drive well enuf said

guess what two weeks ago i purchased a set of 15s bbs
then 2days later i got the 1s on my pic so yes matey i have the 15s sat here in guess??? yepp dining room lol i can here her moaning now and she aint even in hahaha also got a set of 14 bbs with good tyres and caps might have to sell the 15s pretty soon tho as that fine has really cleared me out Daz

Hmmm...cant afford them just yet,maybe after ive worked a few months,ive got hols next month(which will cost!),i could do with spending about Ԛ£200 on mine to get it pretty good although not pretty,might have to sell some tools etc when i sort them all out.

I think spacers are the best way if you were to fit 6x9's.
Alot of people including myself think that 6x9's are pretty useless now, if you want good sound spend decent money on front components.
Buy good-ish rear 13cm speakers and then a sub if you want more bass.

There just 2x18mm MDF spacers glued together and pianted black.
