sounds like the radio amp is cutting out when its getting to high in volume's, If u run the unit at 38 im guessing its alright??

Basicly ur putting to much pressure on the unit and the radio over heats and cuts out, Had this happen with my mates motor.

Get urself a 4 channel amp and run the speakers of that ur see better results sound/ volume wise

A basic amp u can get for anything around 50quid mark

what speakers are u running???
