I've got a 1992 318 cab with an Alpine head unit, hooked up to an ipod with Kenwood components all round and two 10" Kenwood subs which are powered by a Rockford Fosgate punch amp.
I am thinking about fitting some sound deadening and just wondered if it's worth the effort/expense. If so, where should I fit it and what's the best type to use?

dynomat is top stuff and works wonders. once you've used it you'll wonder why there's ever been a single car not covered in the stuff ever.
the only downside to it is its weight.
as for where - start around your speakers. then concentrate on any large flat panel e.g. outer door skins, rear quarters that act as drum skins and vibrate in sympathy to your speakers. the footwell to bonnet area, wheel arches and cabin to boot areas are next up (usually.) you can use as much or as little as you wish.
