18's and even 19's have been fitted to the E30

Not many have fitted 19's
Can only think of player6 at the moment.
Other may know of more with them fitted

I've fitted 18's to the tourer without problems
They were fitted with 215/35/ZR 18 tyres

60/40 usually refers to dropping the front 60mm and the rear 40mm

Raking the vehicle so the front is lower then the back will increase vacuum due the the pressure change of the air passing under the vehicle and help road holding.

There is a bigger gap between the front tyre and the arch compared with the back.

This is mine with standard ride height. The car sits level but look at the front tyre to arch gap

This is lowered 60/40. see the gap is now even front to back

20,s on mine must be a first.
previously i had 18 with 235 35 tyre
30/35 drop no probs just 6mm spacer on front.
depends also on what wheel you get and offset :D

Hi mate,

I don't like cars that are lowered 60mm all round, Looks like a dog dragging its arse along the ground. :D

60mm f & 40mm r gives just a nice stance imo.

No rubbing now, I played around with spacer widths to get the wheels to sit nicely in the arch and not foul. Occasionally I get a little scrub on lock going up bumps but that is really rare.
