spoiler removal on an IS

been toying with the idea for sometime to remove the rear spoiler on my e30 question is are they easy to take off and what sort of damage will it do to my bootlid?

any ideas or experiences will help :D

i have included a picture of my boot for help!

They are usually attached to the bootlid with two screws on either side and gasket glue (that rubbery stuff ). Once removed you will have two holes in the bootlid.

Make that 6 holes :)

Easiest thing to do is find a boot that didn't have a spoiler from new and spray that. Otherwise some filler will be the easiest but welding them will be better in the long run but either way will been you need to paint the boot again.
