I have a dent on the lip of my alloy, how could i straighten this myslef?
heat it up and hammer into position?
any other ways?

Depends on which way you mean dented? if its inwards to the circle of the wheel then its scrap, but if its towards the centre of the car then you could bend it back to shape, wouldnt recommend it though as it weakens the rim and could disintegrate HTH
