So after snoops asked me to tint a pair of front indicators for him I had a practice run on a spare back light and was so happy with the results that started thinking I might try it on my headlights. Was wondering if anyone has tried this before and any problems I might face m.o.t or otherwise. This is not been sprayed from a can it is actually a mix that a friend has been using for years which is painted on by gun.You can go darker with more coats or just give it a slight tint. The photos make them look a bit darker than they actually are.

Dude, this isn't the way you tint headlights. You can't spray the glass with paint.
Here's how you do headlights.....

It can be done like this, as I did a set a while back and it turned up okay, but is prone to chipping, having said that I lacquered mine with a couple of coats of lacquer, and it did stand to the test of time.

Just spoke to my friend and he has only ever done it on cars with plastic lense covers, however he has told me that there is some stuff that a friend of his uses(glazer by trade)on glass in offices etc.He does not know what the cost involved would be but he is going to let me know.

tinting headlights is not only illegal but very stupid... e30 headlights are already useless!

Smoke them as per the tech article, dont tint them.
