hi people im interested in refurbing some 17's i have in gloss black.
has anybody done a good black finish on there wheels before and was it hard??

they are some team dynamics qualifiers. ithink without checking they are ten spoked.
also interested in what sort of filler to use to sand out scuffs around the rim??

It shouldn't be too difficult to do a DIY on them. As with any painting, patience throughout the process is vital - rush it, or think "that will do" and you'll have wasted your time and paint.
When I did mine, I used Davids Isopon Metalik filler. It's been over two years now and the lips are still sound. I don't have weights on the lips, though - I doubt the filler would stay in if I did.
