Colour Coded Wiring

Hi

Can someone please tell me what colours on the E30 Loom relay to Black (earth), Yellow(perm 12v), Red(Accessory 12v), Blue(Remote), and Orange(Dimmer) found on standard ISO's

permanent live - grey/red
switched live - violet
earth - brown

Has anyone connected the auto dim to anywhere on their E30? I would like to do this as my unit is a bit lairy in the night, but just right in the day!

I just rewired the car stereo. In my car (320i 1986), the permanent live is the green/red wire, not the grey/red one. I suspect the grey/red one is a 12v which only comes live when the headlight is on.

BTW, Paul's article (E30 ICE) in the Archive is excellent - well worth a read!
