Anyone who has built some of these can you give me some advise on how to go about it?
A diagram would be useful, or just some instrunctions etc.
Cheers
Speaker Door Builds are they easy to make?

Usually made from 10/12mm MDF and fibreglass
Make the outline/skeleton to the rough shape you need and fibreglass it to fill in the rest
can't really say more than that
rub it down before priming/painting or covering with whatever material you plan on using

Doorbuilds are a massive amount of work - and only worth the effort if you are going to do it properly. Is there any reason that you want doorbuild instead of using the kicks?
The standard front speaker mounting points in an E30 are not ideal in terms of positioning, but they are a good starting point, as they are part of the metalwork, and therefore very solid - which is half of the battle as far as speaker mounting is concerned. I have some doorbuilds in my golf, and find that more often than not, my leg if right up against the speaker, whereas there is a direct line of sight to the kicks.
If you really want to have a go, check this guide out:

But beware - it's a hell of a lot of very messy work! Hope that helps.

Audiosport charge £65 +del for a pr
These will only speakers with up to 50mm mounting depth
They will make larger ones "at additional cost"
They used to sell them on ebay, but haven't seen them advertised for a while
Much cheaper as a DIY job

Depending on the design you want, it is alot of work, but not really that difficult if you can be bothered to them. Takes alot of time to get them just how you want them, bit of trial and error. Ive been trying to make some for a while now, but just start and stop(for a long time) as i dont have enought time. Managed to make one side for now, just got to get around to making the other side now...
