I'm thinking about changing the rear lights on my touring...it currently has the standard lights with the orange part sprayed red.....

however i got stopped today as they flash red and not orange (good thing i took the other set off that had the reverse lights sprayed red 8O )...

anyways, seen as my touring has a blacked out theme to it, i was wondering what options there are for smoked lights???

I don't like completely black lights (DIY jobs), and don't like 'LEXUS' style lights either....

I would've stuck with the current one's but don't want any hassle seen as my car now has illegal plates, tints, and probably a few other things aswell :?

I remember seeing some smoked lights (think they were MHW or something like that) on a zoners car, where all the lights were smoked lightly similar to these...

Image

However those are for pre-facelift only.

I've also seen these...

Image

but i'm not sure what they'll look like on my touring....

Are there any other lights out there???? Or a way to make my current one's flash orange without having the horrid orange part on them???

Also, if anyone out there can photoshop any of the lights onto my car here's a pic....

Don't really want to tint the reverse light, as with the tints, you can't see anything out the back if the reverse lights aren't working how they should, and without that they'd look a bit odd with just the indicators smoked.

I think Dips latest touring has MHW tinted rear lights, have a look at the sweet like chocolate thread.

that looks odd and doesnt suit the car at all imo. either all red or all dark tint but one or the other rather than mixing and matching.
i cant believe they actually stopped you for your light flashing red rather than the orange. the copper must have been in a bad mood to be bothering you with that

I meant the lights...

But apparently a green bulb makes them flash orange.

Hasn't someone tried that, and proven it doesn't work?

What about if i fit LED orange indicators...they flash orange, and a lot brighter than standard bulbs...would that work???

I think id depends on how much tint you have on the indicators, I had quite a few coats on mine, I used orange bulbs and it still passed the MOT.

Do they flash orange though? I was pulled over during the day when the indicators would look more red, i think at night they'll look slightly more orange anyway!

I'll probably have to look on the German ebay to find them, but they're probably the only light i'll fit apart from the one's on it right now...

a photoshop should help me see if i like the look of them on my car or not though.
