Looking to swap my aerial for a new one, just wondering what people would advise buying.

Are the cheap short ones of ebay anygood?

Anyone reccomend any?

I reccommend the electronic box type as fitted to E34 BMW.
Can be hidden away in the boot nicely and gives excellent reception.
No unsightly mast either!

Any E34 will have one fitted!
They are mounted in the N/S C pillar behind the interior panel.

Ah,well ive had and sold a few cheap but dont have any now!
Try Danthe,he has stripped a few E34`s.
Simple to wire in too, just make sure when you get one that you get the main coax lead to go with it and a cutting of the E34 live wire terminal, rest is easy!

Should go up and down with radio on/off and when ignition is switched off too.

Main reason is cause its invisible :D
Well it is only visible from whereever you choose to mount it,ideally behind the side panel in the boot.
Reception is also very good in my experience, equally as good or better than standard electric one.
Main problem fitting an E34 one is the hole left in the rear wing
Last one I did I just used a tight fitting rubber gromet, didnt actually look too bad!
