Can be done, but not easily or cheaply if you want to use wheels other than e36 offset (around 40 ish). I used E30 M3 front/rear parts not cheap, but done properly! Wheels, are Rondell in et13 but I also have some e34 M5 wheels which will fit. If you get the e36 stuff, you'll have more choice of wheels, but not big phat lipped ones.

Z3 rear trailing arms, E36 front is the cheapest route, i think you can also use E36 compact rear arms too but do a search

get some chunky spacers. there's a company in the uk that deals with these, and they incorporate stud conversions into it.

cheapest option.

yes, but do you want to risk it? The PCD of the 4x100 to 5x120 overlap abit too closely for my likely. I think Jazzman has done this via spacers.. 4x100 to 5x100 then 5x100 to 5x120. It ended up being really silly offset (he has a sportser so he can get away with that)

i think i got mine from www.wheel-spacers.co.uk.

just chcked the site and its not as comprehensive as it used to be, but they had th stud conversion, in their "bolt to hub" design. i wouldn't be worried about breakage, they are entirely over manufactured for the job, and are cast, not cheap ally units.

check what your getting though, as i got mine over two years ago now.

site's not working. Its not the spacers, its the hubs im worried about.. it's the extra stress on the bearings etc

Just to reply to your pm matey here. they are bk 299's. a cheap wheel, that i have now had for 5+ years.

i you get them you will have 12 months of the polished rim looking good if you look after them. after that you need to rub the rim back, wet and dry it, and then lacquer it. it dulls off, but you get a low maintenance wheel.

unike other cheap wheels, despite bk's reputation among the bbs owners, they are a solid wheel.

i drove mine very hard on 30 profile and never had a damged rim.

here's a pic of them pre m3 kitted.

no probs. sourcing parts is a nightmare if you don't want to do the standard thing with these cars. i'm still finding new ideas 2.5 years on from starting the project, and still change the original plan t this day lol.
