I have ordered a ccfl kit from ebay, and was wondering if it will change the bulbs aswell?
Because Im not sure if the standard yellowish tint will look that cool with the angel eyes. If the angel eyes dont come with bulbs is it worth getting some white or blue bulbs to go with them?

Right, so is the actual ring just a ring around the bulb?

whatever lights up the ring was already there. 4 brighter points at 12 ,3,6 and 9 oclock around each ring with the rest of the ring being slightly dimmer but it is more of a white light than yellow.if you have bought them for the european market they will need adjusted for our driving on the right side of the roadotherwise you will dazzle oncoming traffic and fail your mot. they are easily adjusted though.

Is the ccfl angel eye ring just the ring around the light? If so can I change the standard bmw bulbs with blue vision ones and use the angel eyes?

If your getting the ones I think you are, then your just getting the light rings, not replacement units.
This makes it a DIY job to fit them but you will be able fit any bulbs that you could fit normally.
Do you have a link to the type you have bought?

Then to the best of my knowledge, you will just get the 4 rings and you will have to remove the lenses from your lights to fit them and them replace (glue) the lenses in place. Be careful not to crack them when you do it though.

i got in pro angel headlights, the full head light replacement ones. The angels are too yellow for my liking, can i change the bulbs in them? there are 4 in each ring..
was also considering CCFL ones as they are thinner ring, looks much better than mine.. can some one post pics with them on an e30?

Looking good, how difficult were they to fit? The outer ones should be easier.

I bought some angel eyes just like those on ebay for my e34,
they were a real pain to fit, but they look great when running with just the sidelights on.
I found that the standard (yellowish) bulbs in the sidelights don't look very nice with the blueish tone of the angel eyes, so I removed sidelight bulbs and wired up Angel eyes to work as sidelights instead.
That way you can have 3 options: just Angel eyes, dipped headlights and angel eyes, or full beam.
I want to get a set for my e30, but getting the glass lense out of the headlight units was a nightmare - does anyone know of an easy way to do it?

Are they glass or plastic rings? Im just thinking that if they are plastic you might be able to twist them to get them in without removing the lense?
