headlight air intake?

Hi, ive seen a few e30's around with one of the inner headlights taken out and replaced with an air intake(trumpet) i can seem to find these anywhere! is it a case of making one myself or can you buy one from somewhere?

Ive never had any problems with plod. Only problem i can forsee is with the MOT but i'll just refit the light for that.
As for where to buy parts,my local motor factor sells the ducting and various sized trumpets.Could even try Halfords or ebay too

i've read you can use old golf lights so you have both dipped and main beam in one unit, then its nice and legal and you have a spare hole on the other side to tie a red nose to

Golf lights are a different size. But I reckon with a bit of cutting it would be possible.
Not necessary though. Full beam arent needed by law. (not sure if that applies to mots as well though).

you do need both main beams for the mot as i found out last thursday

Snoops... I doubt it, the ones on my mates mk1 cab look a good inch bigger in diameter than e30 ones.

yer, i used to have a mk1 golf before the e30 and the headlihgts are much bigger same on the mk2, i dont think they would fit without major moddin to the front end.

I was thinking more along the lines of cutting the reflector and bulb holder off the mk1 lights and attaching it to the e30 lens.
