Right, well for various reasons I cant work on my car this weekend, so much to the wifes delight I am spraying my wheels (in the living room).
I want the centres sprayed and the dish polished.
Step one is obviously to get the lacquer off the dish and take it back to bare metal ready for polish.
But as I want to paint the centres, do I spray them first, with the dish masked off, then mask off the paint and polish the lip... or polish the lip, then mask it off and spray the centres?
I know it sounds a bit dim... I'm just worried about getting paint on the polished bit, or polishing the painted bit once its done...
So basically... which is lowest risk of contamination/easiest to sort out if I do 'over run', paint or polish?

anywaaay.
Having taken them off the car and given them a good clean. Turns out that three of the dishes are in very good condition, so no point re-polishing them.
The third is f*cked, proper f*cked. Lacquer peeling, water contamination etc.
So... in theory I only need to polish one. BUT, on closer inspection, they're diamond cut, not polished. So if I polish the f*cked one, I have to polish all the rest.
Its well known that I am the laziest person on the planet, so thats not going to happen.
Matt black centres, matt black dish... and if I can be bothered I may lacquer the dish to make it shiny... but again thats a lot of effort so I probably wont.
And if you dont like it, woop de doo.... keep this in mind... I'd spray your mum matt black if she let me mask off her minge.
