i like the look of these headlights, but would ayone care to explain to me, what the difference is between the standard headlights on my e30 and these "projector" headlights listed below

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-E30-3-Series- ... dZViewItem

look a bit similar to the ones up front on my dads x-type only...... not

well firstly these lights have angel eyes with a sidelight bulb aswell and secondly they project the lights rather then reflect the light on the road, but by the looks of this pair, the full beam light is not a projector and the reflective backing looks black, so might not be road legal, even though they are E marked.

Your ment to get a better light coverage across the roads and the projector lense are ment to break up the colours in the light aswell, but poorly made lense's dont do any of this.

sorry if my english aint good, i didnt really go to school, so im trying my best :(

The main beam is not meant to be painted black, hence when people "smoke" there headlights, the main bean has a black cross hair put in it to make it look back but without effecting any of the light output. The projector on the dipped is fine though, as Raj_p says it projects light not reflects so it does not matter if that is black.

Seems a lil fishy for E marked
