i got thinking (never good!) when stuck in a traffic jam,
i've heard that bmw got the badge because thats the pattern that bm aeroplane propellors made when running, so could wheels be made to do the same, so that all 4 corners have roundels when driving, maybe 6 or 7 spokes? i think they'd look a bit stupid when stationary though, and naff when driving. just wondered if its possible?
someone call the style police!

I know they made the badge like it is now because it looks like a propellor when it's turning, but i think the patern has nothing to do with it realy. I have never seen a propellor make a BMW patern in it, doesn't seem possible to me either.
(I dont know if BMW made it's own propellors or just the engines)

it's a stylised 'art deco' propellor. no real similarity to the real thing!
