How do I strip paint from plastic?
I've just done a set of wheels for someone and I forgot to do the center caps.
At the last minute I tried, foolishly, to slap a load of paint on and have laid it on too thick, and not let it set properly before lacquering.
Its gone all crinkly so I need to strip it off but they have raised detail so I cant get in between it to sand them down properly.
If I put nitromors on it will just melt the plastic wont it?

Cheeky swine.
Hadn't thought about nail varnish remover.
I'll use THE WIFES stuff... Or maybe some white spirit on a toothbrush.

I would be very careful using acetone / nail polish remover, test on the back first..
If you can buy paint stripper in a plastic container, then it's a fair bet it won't attack the plastic. Always try on a out of sight part first!
You could just try brake fluid...

nitromors should be fine. use small amounts and have some water handy to kill it if you use to much. hlh
