Has anyone tried Boss Audio Gear?
Looks liek the stuff has some decent specs behind it but i'm not sure.
Any help or opinions much appreciated.

Agree with what daz says.
A good mid price range maker emerging at the moment is powerbass. Only really with subwoofers, not sure how they measure up with comps etc, but their subs are very damn good.
Two 10" pbx (powerbass extreme) 400w rms subs in sealed boxes in my old car, running off a 1000w rms genesis amp, put out 138db on a termlab db meter.
Admittedly they smoked a bit afterwards... but the sound wasn't affected and when I put them back onto my amp they still sounded perfect.
I doubt they'll ever win an SQ comp, but for a bit of beef without anal oscilloscope frequency perfection desires, they do a damn good job.

On the budget end of things...
I'll probably be laughed at (by people that have never used them) FLI gear is actually surprisingly good!
I ran a set of fli 6" comps and a single 10" fli sub, off a fli 'loaded 800' 4 channel amp before my pbx stuff arrived and I couldnt fault it for the money. I got all of that for £200!
For your average everyday user who wants a bit more poke to their system, they do some damn good equipment.
Its all basically last years Vibe stuff, sprayed grey and re-branded. They are the same company, using the same technology and knowledge. And while cheap-ish, vibe stuff is good for what it is so they just re-brand their old speakers and shift it as fli stuff.
Their amps are designed specifically for their speakers though, look reasonably good and do the job they need to do.
