Spent a few hours today changing my front speakers with some vibe k-series comonents. The tweeter can be clicked into the middle of the cone so they are perfect for keeping them in the standard places. With the crossovers etc they make a really good sound and Im really chuffed.
On a downer though, the ones I got for the rear are too deep for the rear speaker holes so I had to take them back. The audio shop are trying to hunt out a similar standard of speaker with a shallow magnet but for now Iv got to make do.
While I was getting my hands dirty I changed the side repeaters for clear ones and the front and rear badges for new ones. Its looking a lot tidier already, and Im beginning to make longer term plans. Some very wide azevs, streched tyres, coilovers and a full re-spray will be on the agenda. Will get pictures when the weather is better and its clean again.
