What do ya think???

The amp im running is a MTX thunder producing 800RMS @ 2ohm
Image

The sub im running is a Alpine type R (new one) which runs 300rms and its a 4ohm sub but it has jumpers allowing you to run 2ohm etc winkeye

Im so pleased with the quality of the sub and the bass it produces, ive finally got bass going through my cab

Dude to be honest with you the vibe wasnt dropping enough for my liking, In my Merc I run x2 Jl Audio twin voice coils with 500rms @4ohm basis's to each sub off a JL audio amp.

This new install on my BM is the nuts, u can actualy hear the bass through the car with the roof down aswell, with the roof up it sounds even more mental. Alot of people know getting bass through a cab is a bitch thats without the lack of room in the boot but this install pulls it off and i can still get 2 golf club bags in there.

The control the amp gives u is wicked and for what i paid for the amp im well pleased as the amp goes on most sites for £499 and i paid £200 im well pleased, I wasnt sure to be honst using a Alpine sub ina 1 cubic sealed box but im really impressed with the sound quality it delivers.

wicked mate, Id say its trial and error. The main thing ur need to mount it in though is a box  (u know im messing)

I've always been a advocator of facing the sub towards the back of the car because the bass reflex and use's the boot more, although alot of the guys on here punch the ski hatch out and put the sub facing into the car

Like i said though trial and error mate, what did u go for in the end???

well its all i nthe car etc, i got a right touch of ebay, i went for the fusion powerplant 12" sub and powerplant mono block amp. its all in the fusion box that it is supplied with from new. its all in the boot at the moment but cause it weighs fooking loads it dont move around to much just a tad. so whats the best way of mounting the box to the floor?

the bass is immense can feel it all over the car, but i need to get my teh 2 spolier mounted properly after the previous owner bodged it on,

Mine was the Ultra virtual daylight kit. I got it at a very good price so had to get it.

I will do some night shots when I get a chance, they are fooking bright!

What rating is this....
6000K
8000K
10000K
12000K

I've been told 6000K is legal, and produces a white light....but i'd want a similar light to what you get on the new prestige cars....they have a more bluey/purpley tint to them but still look whiteish when close-up..if you know what i mean

cliffy shame on you... there is no ski hatch to punch out on your cabby  nor should you try to create one

i am glad you took my lack of chrome advice to heart and blinged yer bass up!! looks good although i dont see how chrome can improve the bass response in the car winkeye

as for speaker placement i tried both forward and backwards facing for my box and came to the conclusion that for my set up rear facing deffo sounded best, deeper bass, louder in the cabin, forward facing sounded louderr out of the cabin and thus attracted a load of attention, but sounded shite inside.

my set up for those interested  can even get a wakeboard in the boot, which sounds better then two sets of gofclubs... boring!!!!

I didn't have a problem with my cab. Ask anyone at the recent South West meet. or indeed the residents of Wellington!

Sub looks good. Got some value in that amp. 800w RMS and struggling to get bass into the cabin?

It's just the way you said it was a 4ohm sub, didn't want you to wire it wrong and blow it. It can only run at 2 or 8ohms, your doing 2ohms so it's all good :thumb:
