im after some information regarding what seats will fit in an e30 from the other bmw ranges, i.e e36 interior etc,

is it just a simple swap with the front seats and the backs or will they need modifications?

cheers ian

i quite like the idea of putting the e36 sport seats in as they look alot more supportive and a bit different to the usual interiors, put only if they are a straight swap or a tad of modification.

E36 M3 vadars need modification. So i'm guessing so will rest of E36 seats.

No idea of modifications tho.

would be intresting to find out what work is needed, do the 5 series seats fit of the same generation as the e30? (cant remeber the number)

max, if was gonna go to the hassle and expense of e36 m3 vadar seats i would rather put a pair of bucket seats in there,

E34 i'm sure someone said they were too wide.

Was just saying they will probably need the same modifications as vadars

I don't think the backs will ever fit, and the fronts need extra bits welding onto the rails to match the bolt holes in the chassis, but I'm only repeating this second-hand from what I've heard on here. Never tried it myself.

sounds like it could be alot of hassle, the route of 2 bucket seats seams the easiest way to go for something different, hmmm time will tell.

woudl be good if someone could definatly confirm what others have said.
