Quick Q about rear lights

Which years and models of rear lights will fit an 89 Sport?
There are some on ebay as one of mine has a small crack but I dont want to bid until Im sure they fit!

So long as they look the same (i.e. small reverse light, in the centre of the left-most section) then they will fit. 2 door/4 door/touring all the same I think.

Which one do you need, I have a spare passenger side one, just need to make sure it's mint.

Its the passenger side I need! If you have one I'll buy it if the price is right and its in good shape.

Just out of interest though does anyone know exactly which lights fit which models?

The lights which you have on your car fit all models with that shape lights. I believe that there are no variations.

The early lights (chrome bumper) are on all the chrome bumper cabs, past the plastic bumper change, until they were plastci bumper, and all M3's have the early lights.

My theory's that when they started selling the E36 saloons alongside the E30 cabs, they realised nobody would want to buy an E30 cab with the old lights as it just looked....old, so that's why the cab's rear lights were only facelifted when the E36 came out.

Just an idea, probably wrong!
