I know the subject of repainting BBS wheels is well covered on the zone but it isn't clear whether you sand back to bare metal or just down to the original primer.
If anyone could let me know it would be appreciated as it could save a lot of unecessary work.

no need to sand them all the way back. just sand them so they are smooth all over and well keyed for the fresh paint to stick to.if you do go thruogh in areas then dust a little primer over. hlh
