I've aquired a Sony Xplode 500watt subwoofer and box. The model number is XS-LE30.
It has a switch near the positive and negative terminals that allows adjustment of power output (I think).
The question I have is this: the actual woofer has 6 connections from the connection point that were unplugged when I got it and I have no idea in what order they go in/where the connect.
The cables are:
Red
Yellow
White
White/Black
Blue
Blue/Black
Anyone know about these at all? Any help much appreciated!

Doesn't show all the connections you list above?

Yeah, already had a look at those and there was no info on it. I'll get some pics up this evening!

A sub, as in big bass speaker just we're on the right page, should only have 2 or 4 fit-ment bits for holding wires from a amp, 2 for normal use, 4 for bridging. From the list of wires it looks like a amp your talking about?

just tapped your part number in google and got
"SONY XSLE30 12in (30cm) Passive Subwooferwith Flashing Enclosure"
so flashing lights? could explain some of the wiring

J-Mac, I'm defo talking about a sub. But you are right about it having a light as I've noticed a small red bulb if I look from behind into the center of the cone. So that explains two of the six connections..... I still don't know which cables go where though.

Here we have the connection point that attaches to the side of the enclosure. You can see the six cables running off of it.

And here is the back of the actual sub, with two terminals at the top, two at the bottom and two in the center.
So pressumably the two connections in the center are for the "flashing light" and the two other points on either side are for different power outputs (as stated in the instructions, the switch near the terminals toggles between max output 500watts and about 200watts).
Never knew it could get as complex as this..... But then I'm no sound system expert
Any ideas?

I have thought about finding out with a trial and error system, but I'm unsure as to whether or not it would shag anything!?

Trial and error is fine will low input nd output values.

Yeah trial and error should be fine as said above, at a guess
red = constant live
yellow = ignition
But wheres the earth .. would have thought they would be for the light?
The other 4 wires for the sub, some subs just have 2 wires and others 4 something about ohms?
But from the pic after connecting it all up, it does just have 2 imputs from the amp so the pulse light must be powered from the sound if that makes sense, i can see it tho, a sub does run low volts to work so in turn could run a low voltage led, lets us know how you get on mate
