Problems with Beltronics Target 550 -Help anyone

Hi everyone,
I have a serious software problem with my Bel 550 - it is showing error messages.

Comtech say there's nothing that can be done as Target Automotive claim it is unrepairable (the unit is out of warranty now). Target Automotive refuse to answer my mails. I am not happy spending 300 quids on faulty unit that is said by the manufacturer to be 'unrepairable'.

Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions what to do with it will be highly appreciated.

Try giving it a whack! Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting it to reset the thing?

Yes I tried to reset it. It performs a quick self-test but immediately afterwards gives ?PLOCK? error.
