The car in question is a 1990's 318i in black, looks nice, however the badge has been severly affected by what looks like UV rays, and the white and blue sections have both faded and cracked.
What I'm interested in doing is buying a new badge, however, the car isn't mine, and this is a birthday present, I don't own or drive an E30 (however, I'd quite like to), but have found a replacement badge on ebay, here:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-BONNET-BOOT-B ... 0052999697
And I was just wondering if this would be suitable, the right size and so on, to replace the current badge, and also how it would be done, as I am aware the badges are rivetted on, which would involve the original badge being drilled out? Am I correct?
Anyway, I'd appreciate your thoughts and ideas,
Haz

shouldn't be a problem, theres 2 holes behind the badge, with rubber ... bits in? and from the back of the badge is 2 bits that stick out, they do just pop out and pop back in again
