Anyone know of a good one? Just got a head unit off eGay, & it doesn't recognise that there's a CD in it & won't eject it. :x Could pull it apart & have a look, but I'd rather just get the seller to pay for it to be fixed.

So does anyone know of a good place? Or indeed work in one?!

I've used these guys before. It's a fixed price of about Ԛ£50 regardless of what needs doing.

You book it in online and a courier arrives to pick it up 8)

Fullers are also supposed to be quite good. I've never used them for repairs, but have ordered spares from them in the past.

Ian.

Cheers guys... I'll give them both a go.

I've already e-mailed fixmyradio, but their prices have gone up to Ԛ£75 for a CD headunit, or Ԛ£125 for nav! Mine's nav too, but it's a normal din one & it's just the CD player bit that's gone wrong, so fingers crossed...

It's so tempting just to pull it apart & see what I can do... I'm waiting to see what the seller has to say though - try & get an idea if it's been dropped by the royal snail, or just packed up on him & he thought he'd flog it on!
