i would advise strongly against porting it through to the rear of the seats, this works fine in tin tops but the cabby rear fire walls are structural (hence why there are two) and thus cutting it away is ill advised.
i am running a sub in my cab boot and sound comes through to the cabin just fine, my main problem was with the displacement of air and vibrations. to solve this i removed all the rubber bungs under the roof enclosure area, and i also removed the carpet on the fire wall inside the boot. i then removed the two flaps hidden behind the bumpers (just next to each wheel arch) this allowed enough air to vent from the boot and stopped vibrations. (but this last tip may allow water in to your boot, where i live that is not an issue!)
infact the biggest problem with cabby steroes is not the lack of bass, but the lack of decent mid range as there is no real space to put mid sized speakers unless you start going into door builds etc.
dont think you will get that into the space for the glove box, there is not that much space there and also it houses all the ignition computers etc, probably not too good to be shaking them about all the time!!
