It would be unique. But unique isnt always good....
Dont remove it, thats what makes the front a BMW and not a peoples car haha.

I think a grill like that would look cool all the way across. Do it, it's your own car so it's your choice.

i saw a grill like that before and it did remind me of a mk2 golf.depends wether you consider that a good or a bad thing though.i personally favour the dechromed satin black grill

This is a E34 but you can get a idea of the look

The 2nd has other bit done to it which also gives it an overall better look (bumper kit, m5 front n back wings ect)
Personaly i wanna try something like this

What you think?

not sure about the degrilled look
how would that idea work hadez? i take it the bonnet hinges would need to be reversed for the bonnet to open front end first

And even then you wouldn't be able to have the extra bonnet clip (the latch after you've popped the bonnet) i was thinking the simple 4 bonnet pins and lift the whole bonnet off, a pain in the arse for breakdown ect, or the bit more complex on rail's, so once popped open the whole bonnet slides forward then arcs forward, i don't no yet just some idea's, any input is much appreciated of course

someone else was talking about this recently and also mentioned the bonnet sliding forward first then opening in the usual way.im sure it wouldnt be to hard to overcome.
