Been trying to connect my ipod to my Clarion car radio... I think its meant to have aux in but I havn't been able to use it successfully. There is a switch which changes one of the line out RCA's to line-in but this didn't work for me, the sound level was really low.

There is another lead on the back of the unit which looks like a ps2 mouse socket on a computer, does anoyone know what this is for?

I've been using my ipod with a cassette adaptor but there is just too much hiss and noise at high volumes.

Any ideas?

Must be a feairly old unit?? Can't find much info on the web!!

I presume you are going from the headphone socket on an mp3 player to an aux in?? If it worked but was really quiet - did you try turning up the vol on the mp3 player aswell?

There may be more settings hidden in the menus for that input, gain crontrol maybe?

Best thing is to pop to your local car hifi shop and they'll be able to tell you if you can do it and help you set it up!!
