if they poke outside of your arches wont they be illegal?
and more importantly wont they be dangerous - unless you run minimal suspension play,
but phat is nice all right
personally i would prefer massive flared arches than the actual wheels sticking out.....

I can give you the option that it's illegal to have wheels which stand proud of the arch in the UK, not to mention the fact that you'd need to raise the car to get any suspension travel!
Have a look at www.imagewheels.co.uk for some funky splits though
EDIT> Oops, about 5 minutes too late!

It really dependson how much they stick out the arch to be fair.
If the arch is rolled and the tyre is too small for the rim therefore being stretched on there so the wheels looks like it is too wide for the arch but actually just tucks in when the suspension depresses (as the negative camber increases) then it would be a border line mot fail.
Some may some may not fail you.
Plus it looks coooooool

You could probably get away with them standing proud of the arches until MOT time !!!

no it wont, tyres must be under the arch to pass the MOTm3ben05 wrote:IIRC if your wheels stick out from the arches your car will fail its MOT.
If you want splitties it has to be oldschool BBS
thats how the stretched look came about in germany for cars to get through a german MOT test which i might add are a lot bloody tougher and stricter than ours
