hi guys, dont know if this is the correct place to write this thread but im going to buy a xenon kit to put on my sport, what i wanted to know was what is the temperature/wattage which is used on UK roads, bacially i dont want to get one which isnt road legal and then get pulled over by cops all the time.
This is what Temperature are available-
4000k, 5000k, 6000k, 8000k, 10000k, 12000k?
Now which one do i go for?

8k. Anything higher will be too white or blue and not give you the best lighting. I have 6k on the Rieger and 8k on the Msport and the 8k is fantastic

big thumbs down to super funky lights
few roads are lit over here and when you meet someone coming the other way
its like having a daffy duck moment seeing stars and stuff
plus they seemm to reflect and refract of every bloody thing in the car
i am going to install a batman light on my roof to deal with such people

All cars with zenon lights should have an automatic (manual not allowed) load compensating mechanism to control the height of the lights.
C&U regs require that Xenon Gas Discharge lights if not fitted to a car with self levelling suspension, have to have their own auto self levelling system as standard.
Not complying with construction and use = not road legal, guess dibble will get round to xenon bulbs after bad driving and bad numberplates!
Or Xenon first if they're having a bad day.

also, xenon lights must have a headlamp cleaning system, for legal reasons. reason being, if dirt gets onto the headlamp, the dirt can refract/reflect the beam into oncoming drivers eyes!!
sounds ridiculous, but its actually true! i think theres a training dvd at work with all the information about them. if i can, i'll try and out some of the stuff on here!
