right,,,,
i had a motorised TV. assuming this is standard DIN size. i think ull have problems with the indicator stalk when it comes out, i had problems with my old motorised screen, and that was just a 6.5inch..
havnt seen many 8inch screens that arre DIN and motorised... make and model??
doesnt the unit have a brain? serperate box unit, on my one it was a simple ad on procedure yellow white and red plugs to the input on the brain and u could access it via the screen...
give me more detail. might be able to help !

oh right and what u gonna do for a head unit?? im assuming at the back theres 2 sets of 3 sockets, red yellow white. and on the PS2 theres the same just link them up and it should run just like how u would with a normal TV. though still leave you with no head unit....

im using the ps2 in the head unit
you'll also need an inverter for the ps2. it costs around £50, and it wires up to the battery and the ps2 connects to the inverter.
then the video/audio outputs from the ps2 connect to the inputs of the monitor.
only bit i dont get is how you will switch between sounds. you'll have to either connect seperate speakers for your screen, or some sort of switch as music and the ps2 cannot play on same speakers.

no, if the screen plays cd/etc all itself then its fine as it will control that itself. but if you having a seperate setup i.e. if screen & ps2 seperate from the audio system then you will need to setup seperate speaker system.
