hi, I've removed my acient Sony XR-7071 multi disk box and head unit, and am looking to replace it with a Sony MDX6500RV player. I'm at the stage where all the wires are connected and nothing happens! superb. So, really, i have a yellow and a orange wire left over? wot are they for and which one is power? Any help would be appreciated. thanks, tom

Not sure what the orange one does, but the yellow is the permanant live wire (red is ignition switched).
You need to connect the yellow to a 12v supply for the unit to work.

If it aint broke - Modify it...
