Getting exhaust and tyres on Thursday so should be able to get some "real" pics up this weekend!
Think I'm going with 215x40x17's up front and either 225x40x17 or 235x35x17's out back.
Anyone got 8" and 9", 17's on here? If so what are your tyre sizes?
Cheers.

Hey mate nice rymz, i got 16's on mine with 215/40/16 tyres, i did have 225/40/16 on them but they started to rub against the arches so i 215/40, but these are slightly strecthed on. In my opinion i would not get tyres stretched on as it can be dangerous when driving. Hey i was gonna get similar rymz to those but could not be asked to sit there and clean them, takes tiiiiiiiiime to look afta rymz like them!!
Hey so you got a 5 stud conversion done or what, how u do it, what parts etc...

why are "stretched" tyres dangerous?
I used complete E30 M3 suspension, struts, trailing arms etc for my 5 stud conversion.

They are Borbet A's as im a lazy shite and cant be bothered to sit there cleaning bbs wheels, as for the tyres - dangerous as theres not much of the tyre on the road so basically grip purposes. But that depends on how you drive, drive cruisin speed they all good, drive it as you are supposed to can be dangerous some times, well also depends on the whether!!!

I also got Borbet A's on my car now, and i agree they must be the easiest wheels to clean - especially when there painted wiv spray paint, 1 wipe wiv a wet sponge and they bling (well as much as spray painted wheels can!!!)

Its more to do with the fact that as they are stretched, there is a higher chance the bead will slip off the edge of the rim and the tyre will 'blow out'

As long as the tyres are mounted correctly then a reduction of 10mm in width makes no odds, this i was told by a proper tyre fitter, ie one who's into this sort of sh1t! thats why they should be mounted with a "cheater" to ensure that they go on square and straight to the rim.
