Hey everyone. I have a 4 door 316i and want to lower the suspension by 40mm all round. Can i lower the car using lowering springs on the standard shocks? or do i need to purchase a complete suspension kit with the shocks? Thanx guys

You can go either root, but it is preferable to use a full kit as apposed to a spring set. I have a second hand apex kit, springs, seats, and struts, for your model. Let me know if you are interested!

Yes, you can lower the car 40mm with just the springs, no problem. If you have the $$$ then go the full setup, I have a 40mm drop on mycar using standard shocks, no probs.

only problem using the origanal shocks is it makes the car's suspension alot spongier, if you have a large set of wheels on then they might rub when turning sharply.
