Not technically an ICE question this but has anyone retro fitted remote central locking to their E3O? I've bought a Cobra kit and have wired most of it in but am a little stuck with the lock control wires, do these go to the solenoid or the control unit? If anyone has a wiring diagram for this (doesn't have to specifically be Cobra) or any advice (other than get a pro in!) that'd be a great help. Cheers

Do a google search for wiring diagram for your specific cobra kit

Cheers! I've tryed wiring it into the solenoids but after dozens of different combinations I've still not got any further. I've got a wiring diagram for the kit but it's not specific to the car.

That's it, the Cobra 1046. That'd be a massive help. Also, where did ya put the control unit? Cheers.

I'll do a full write up for future ref later but im assuming your as far as routing you perm 12volt +ve and ignition switched +15amp +ve, and have accessed the Central Locking Unit in the kickwell?
Look closely on the CLU, the pins are numbered.
You need to connect the Orange wire to Pin6 (Green/Blue wire) and the Violet wire to Pin7 (Yellow/Blue) thats your lock/unlock sorted
To get the indicators to flash get access to the wires coming from the indicator stalk, connect one to the Blue/Black and one to the Blue/Red
When you take the speaker cover off there is just enough space to stick the control unit to the flat metal panel, right under the dash at the back. Only thing i had to do was angle grind about 10mm off the under dash panel cos the unit pushes the speaker grill out slightly
Hope this makes sense mate, give me a shout if you need more help - im off down the pub

Nice one, al give that a go then. Put my control unit behind the glove box, easy route to fuse box. Just the control and flasher wires, assuming av done the rest right. Cheers.
