would like my rears to be grids of l.e.ds?

Is this possible? i dont want round afterburner look but i fancy a rectangular grid of about 40/60 l.e.d.s for the brake size lenses would look fabulous on the rears of my facelift? how would i go about doing this?

this could be done as anything is possible
but are you trying to make it look like an e46 or even
e36 as some of those have led lights?
imo it will look a bit dodgy but well prove me wrong and
i may chance my opinion

thought about this my self, problems you need to overcome are 1. opening the lamp units, i tried this once by heating to try and smoke the rear lenses but from the inside of the lens, it is not possible without cutting the plastic lens off of the lens housing. refitting would be a nightmare due to water getting inside the lens etc, will require some good thinking!!
2. your break check light will come on as the LED's will not draw the same amount of current as a bulb so the check computer will see it as a blown break light.
3. mounting the LED's so that they all appear equally bright from the rear.
actually doing the job should not be too hard, buy super bright LED's and a coule of resistors from RS or similar, get your soldering iron out and away you go.
