Hi - i am wondering does the tec two bumper bolt on using the same bolts on to the shock mounts? and then you clip the tec II valance to to the bumper not to the car as such? does it line up then at the sides with the black plastic for the air feeds and whatnot?
i mashed my front se valance..... i cant quite tell ho to remove it even though i have had the bumper off i cant tell how to get it off- it seems welded on, maybe i have to remove it as high up as the metal that runs under the front grill?
how the tec II bumper and valance go on?

M-tech II bumper bolts upto the original bumper mounts, but before you fit the bumper you need to fit a series of clips along the top half of the front valence (in the ridge where the bumper sits) to fit the M-tech II valence too, it also clips underneath where the original lip spoiler sits, and has 2 small nuts at the side of the valence that go through the standard valence just in front of the front wheels.

the tech 2 valance sits over the original metal valance, only your lower lip can be removed on an SE.
here you can see my valance... you will need to drill 5 holes on the upper edge of the valance to fit the upper retaining clips into. you can see four of the five holes on the upper lip of the valance. the lower expanding rivets fit into the existing spoiler lip fixings, and there are two side mountings in front of each wheel arch that require drilling too. (i didnt bother cause my tech 2 clips were broken so a dab of balck silicone does the trick!!

and here is a mock up of the bumper and valance fitting...

if you can wait a week or so i have done a photo diary of fitting the tech 2, i am half way through the tech article.
PM if you want an advance copy
