For an M3 without the premium speaker box sat on the rear shelf, I want 4 speakers that connect right up, no messing, cutting, wiring, no just adding this or that, must sit under the footwell covers and under the square speaker covers on the rear shelf.
I know zero about anything audio, so whats a modern stock replacement please ?

Use standard size speakers, 3 way, about 100w max is fine to avoid distortion at full blast. make sure securely mounted.
Stick to known brands like Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood etc.
Avoid, " superblaster" etc, gimmicky names. and claims of high performance,
Your speakers are only as good as the head unit and the sound only as good as your speakers.
Standard wiring is fine unles you are running very high end stuff and ammps etc. like my kit car,
640ARMS 2 x 8" 3 way Alpine rear. 10" 300W sub woofer, 2 x 6" 3 way Alpine front 2 x 2" tweeter on dash,Can go really LOUD but at normal level sweet.

All comments by me should be taken in the right sprite, Jack Daniels is fine.

I recently purchased these, fitted straight into the footwell and good sound with no distortion .

I used Alpine speakers that were a straight swap from Car Audio Security.
