there are 2 ways i think, as long as your h/u can handle it
one is something called an aux input adapter, connects to the cd changer cable and then into the ipod
the other is like some add on to the ipod and then set up to a radio frequency but i've been told its illegal
the aux input can be bought from CAD - car audio direct for about Ԛ£20 i think
thinks its this one http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product ... ts_id=3133
but someone else should know

as your using the an alpine h/u so long as it runs ai net you can pick up an ipod interface unit which will allow you control of the ipod through the h/u

A clear conscience is a sign of a bad memory

The CDE-9841 does not have either the Ai-Net or MBus control systems to run an autochanger. Looking at the wiring diagram on the Alpine website there is no wired option available to you to connect the iPod.
Your only option may be the FM modulator, or upgrading to a head unit with either Mbus or Ai-Net compatability and using an aux input lead. If you want full control of the iPod from the head unit you need an KCA-420i and the Ai-Net head unit (such as a CDA-9847 and KCA-420i for Ԛ£199)
I don't think the FM modulator is illegal, as Halfords are stocking a system for Ԛ£99.
